I am trying to migrate old distros to Puppet 2.7.21. I have compiled Ruby 1.8.7 from sources and installed facter and Puppet. When I do a run, I get this ERROR:

err: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Invalid tag "" on node

Other machines seem to run just fine, I have run puppetmaster in debug mode, as the agent, but it does not reveal anything to me.

Any suggestions are appriciated :)

I ran into this same problem and used 'puppet node clean {nodename}' to resolve. Seemed to work nicely!
