What changes were made in 3.7.0 x64? I upgraded to it, and am now getting errors that were not in 3.6.2:

The windows_env module needs to be upgraded to 2.2.0. We notified the author in an effort to get a new module released prior to the release of 3.7.0.

The author was able to release the updated version on 8/29/2014. https://forge.puppetlabs.com/badgerious/windows_env

The full list of changes in 3.7 is available in the release notes: https://docs.puppetlabs.com/puppet/3.7/reference/release_notes.html

In particular, relevant changes for Windows are referenced here: https://docs.puppetlabs.com/puppet/3.7/reference/deprecatedwindowsapi.html

I knew it had to be something with that module. Thanks very much for your prompt and detailed reply!

Iristyle's answer is on point. I want to reiterate the release notes. There are numerous x64 things you want to look at before you decide to go down that path.
