Error 400 on SERVER: Could not find data item ntp::env in any Hiera data file

Hi when i trying puppet agent --test i am getting the below error

Error 400 on SERVER: Could not find data item ntp:env in any hiera data file and no default supplied at /etc/puppet/modules/ntp/manifests/init.pp:38 on node.Can anyone please help me with this.

On line 38 of /etc/puppet/modules/ntp/manifests/init.pp you have an explicit Hiera call. This call is looking for a key named 'ntp:env' in Hiera, and cannot find it.

Without seeing the code that's raising this error, it's impossible to debug further. However, this is probably a pretty straight forward code flaw, or Hiera data/configuration problem.

  1. Make sure you Hiera is configured correctly on the server.
  2. Make sure Hiera contains a key called ntp:env, with a valid value

As an aside, this probably means you're not using the official PuppetLabs NTP module

your error says "ntp:env" it should probably be "ntp::env"
