have to revert 3.7 master to 3.3.2. Links?
We have a 3.7 install but have to downgrade to be completely compatible with the billing system vendor. I'm new to puppet, and the install was done mostly by the puppetlabs guys (great people) trying to accommodate a setup for which we had as yet incomplete specs.
Now I have to revert the version back to 3.3.2. There's no code deployed yet, but my timeline is getting really crunched.
I have failed in my attempts to find any online documentation on how to go about downgrading my master version. Any links appreciated.
Am I going to have to just uninstall and start over?
We've had poor communication issues and ended up installing 3.7 before we knew how restrictive our 3rd party billing config would be. There's no code yet, so I may just have to completely uninstall and then reinstall, but was hoping someone could give me advice on what might be the least destructive path to take.
I do have deadline pressure for getting an agent active asap, but without getting the master working there's little point.
The problem, specifically, is that the 3rd party vendor has written a LOT of code, and seemingly (to my limited experience) not according to current puppet best practices, but that's probably because the app isn't really designed for deployment by something like puppet - they have shoehorned it in anyway.
The incompatibilities are in their "standard" configuration, which doesn't appear to allow for such conveniences as r10k (which I barely have working).
