Hi!

I got a problem with hiera_hash after I upgraded to 3.7.4 of the open source version of puppet.

In my hiera.yaml I have the following hierarchy:

    :hierarchy:
  - "node/%{::fqdn}"
  - "role/%{role3}"
  - "role/%{role2}"
  - "role/%{role1}"
  - common

Before the upgrade, settings that I defined in a "role/%{role1}" file worked as expected. However now, after the upgrade, the role-files seem to get ignored entirely when using heirahash. Only the settings in "node/%{::fqdn}" files are applied. I read that I have to install the deepmerge gem in this question: http://ask.puppetlabs.com/question/15436/hiera_hash-deeper-merge-not-working-after-upgrade-to-pe371/. However I'm using the open source version, and not the enterprise version. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Ok, I found out the problem was in my hiera files, and deep_merge did work after all. My bad, sorry.
