Hi I am trying to over write apache::mod::mime::mime_types_config ( and a few others in a similar way ) from

by doing the following :

class profile::webserver::httpd {
  class { '::apache':
    default_mods => false,

  class { '::apache::mod::mime':
    mime_types_config => $mime_content

And the following error comes up:

Error: Duplicate declaration: Class[Apache::Mod::Mime] is already declared; cannot redeclare at /path/to/file/httpd.pp

Can some one point me to a correct way of doing this ?

As apache::mod::mime is included in multiple places, your best bet is to use automatic parameter lookups and set $apache::mod::mime::mimetypesconfig in hiera. See here for the parameters to apache::mod::mime
