puppet vmware_node create with specifying ESX host

Is there a way to specify which ESX host in the datacenter, I want the vm to be created?

I don't think that cloud provisioner have specific flags for this purpose . Take a look at Razor: https://docs.puppetlabs.com/pe/latest...

As best I have been able to determine, you cannot specify a target host or folder. Your templates are typically restricted by datacenters so you can use them for some restrictions on where VMs end up. Beyond that, perhaps you want to look at augmenting your provisioning process with vRealize Orchestrator (or vCenter Orchestrator/vCO in previous versions). You can have vRO handle the whole provisioning process, or it can call puppet's cloud provisioner, or you can call cloud provisioner yourself and then call vRA with REST API calls to move the VM after creation.
