Installed puppet on server but it is asking to reset the user password on regular interval.. what could be the reason ?..Please help on this.

Installed puppet on server but it is asking to reset the user password on regular interval..we need to reset the user password manually every time.

Yep, we just ran into this as well. Looks like Puppet does not manage the max password age set within /etc/shadow so that accounts have a max password age ...(more)

Looks like you have to use the user type (see comment for link) to set max password age.

This setting can also be managed in /etc/login.defs

Sorry if none of this has anything to do with the original problem.
