how to download gzip file from third party (activemq and solr )and extract it using puppet??

I have to setup Active MQ and Solr using pupprt. I dont know, how to download the archive (.zip or .gz) files of ActiveMQ and Solr and extract them on particular location. Please help me.

What operating system are you using? Typically, you should use the Puppet package type to ensure that 3rd-party software is installed on your system.

You can find more information here: Puppet package type reference

If you are using a Linux variant, you need to find an RPM repository that includes those packages. If they are not available as RPMs, see if you can at least find a SRPM so you can build your own local RPM packages. Once you do that, place them on your internal network and use the Package type to point to them.
