Hi, again, there's an issue with the timezone. The old solution doesn't work, because there's a new webfront written in java. I don't find any references in the release nodes and admin guide how to change the timezone in the PE interface. Regardless, why not using the timezone of the Host as default ? This should be no problem at all.

Please give some advice

Update: The issue got a new ticketnumber:
I also updated the ticket with my own workaround using my own app
(js functions that always take the local time and present it human readable !!!)

Also, trying to add -Duser.timezone to all pe-[services] doesn't change anything. Java works correct, i tested it with a sample Class. So, there seems to be a bug in the code, since java works as expected. Rgds. Franz

Hi Greg, thanks for the hint. Nevertheless, the display is confusing to me, and there's a native calendar function in java which will do the job. IMHO, there should be a config option to use the local timezone or leave it default.

Yes, that's true, and I would encourage you to open a ticket to that effect, especially since the functionality was present in a previous version and has been removed now.

For what it's worth, I submitted a ticket to puppetlabs about the timezone settings (or lack thereof) in 2015.2 and was referred to this existing ticket. Hopefully this gets patched sooner rather than later.

Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer, and I hope that's fixed, too. If you're able, place a vote on the ticket, and maybe that will help it bubble to the top.

Hi Greg, Done. The display is quite misleading when beeing in a hurry. Rgds. Franz

It appears that the timezone setting has been removed from 2015.2, as you noted. However, if you mouse over one of the report links, you will see the time of the report in your local timezone.

I have uploaded a screenshot of that here:

Thanks. IMHO tooltips are a poor substitute for displaying the correct timezone. It's obvious that the UI knows and is capable of the correct timezone, but it is backwards. Display the local, throw Zulu time into the tooltip. At least should be provided as an option.
