I am newbie in the puppet world and willing to learn puppet. I went through some instruction about its installation from puppet's documentation. However, I failed to configure it.

My environment: Physical machine: Mac OS Virtualization: VMware fusion Linux distribution: CentOS 6.4 (Created two virtual box and configured them so that they can talk to each other by editing /etc/hosts file). Server1 hostname: puppet.example.com Server2 hostname: puppet-agent.example.com

I will be grateful if anyone can help me to configure puppet master and agent.

Can you give more details about what's failing? It will probably be easier to troubleshoot a specific problem that you've encountered.

thats a very general question - like greglarkin says its probably best to say where you're failing.

I'd start here - make sure install is ok: install puppet

but also take a look at the learning vm - pretty good to get an understanding. learning vm

if you dont want to plough through the puppet documentation theres a million tutorials out there - have a look at puppet tutorial

once you've done that I'd go back to the actual puppet docs as you'll have a good enough knowledge to get into the nitty-gritty!

have a great weekend Stuart
