I have a Mac .dmg with multiple .app installers on it. These .app files are executable installers (similar to .pkg files) and should not be copied into the Applications directory but instead executed. Is there a provider that will handle this? It seems the appdmg provider uses ditto to copy the .app to the Applications directory, but I need the .app to be executed... Maybe this is the software company's problem (in that they are incorrectly distributing the software), but wanted to see if this is something anyone else has encountered or found a solution for already.

I was thinking that the appdmg provider could be modified to have another parameter that tells it to execute the .app instead of ditto-ing it... but wasn't sure how to handle this case.

Thanks, Paul
