lacp bonding/teaming with puppet/YAML in RHEL 7

asked 2015-10-01 10:20:49 -0600

Can someone point me in the right direction to do a lacp bond/team on RHEL 7 using yaml/puppet to configure several servers?

I can create the team manually but can't seem to find a way to perform this with puppet.

I recently implemented this (and other network configuration support) for RHEL/CentOS 6. The code in this gist may need to be adjusted slightly for RHEL 7 variants, but I hope it will be fairly simple to do. I have also included sample Hiera data for creating bridged, bonded and plain Ethernet interfaces. This code requires the Puppet future parser.

All of this is based around the excellent example42/network Puppet Forge module.

Hope it helps!
