Is it possible to create a manual snapshot of a VM's state

Hi -

If Puppet is not the tool that pushes out the configuration to a server, is it possible after the environment has been created to capture the configuration after creation for Puppet to ensure that configuration stays in effect?

kind of using puppet back to front - however maybe something like auditing could help - you'd need to specify/script what you wanted to audit - my guess is system config files and rpms..?

Yeah you are right.

I wasn't sure if Puppet had the ability to take a "manual" snapshot of certain files on the server to then use as the baseline.
