Latest opensource puppet installation documentation

Can you someone please point me to the latest documentation for installing puppet on Centos 6.7? Going through the official documentation seems to be a bit confusing. I would like to install the 3.8 version. Sites on the web seem to be outdated or conflicting.

Thanks for the reply. However, this is exactly the problem. This link clearly states that the documentation is for the enterprise version and not the open source version.

*update* After reinstalling several times and using several different resources, I was able to put the pieces together despite outdated information around the internet and confusing official docs, but was very useful I must say.

You have have glance at it and read it wrong, it's written "This is the version of Puppet included in Puppet Enterprise 3.8." Note: This document covers open source releases of Puppet version 3.8 and lower. You might also want instructions for installing Puppet Enterprise or inst

Thanks for the correction. Actually, the enterprise version with the 10 free nodes literally installs in less than 10 minutes. Wish the open source version was the same way. But I guess that is the incentive to purchase the Enterprise version.
