Did Puppet remove Puppet OpenSource download option?

Previously I used to go the following link link text and download Puppet Open Source. Now I cannot get to that option. The only download option I have is to download the Puppet Enterprise for trial?

Is Puppet Open-Source not available anymore?

Thanks

Hi Sheshi, thanks for the report, and I am checking to see what the issue is. In the meantime, is this the URL you are trying to access? https://downloads.puppetlabs.com/puppet/

You can also install from our package repositories, if that's an option for you: https://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/puppetlabspackagerepositories.html

Hi Greg, Thanks for looking into it. Yes that is exactly I am looking for. How do I get the source tar ball in case we need to run on a platform that does not have an binary option? -Sheshi

I'm not sure why but the latest version of this page results in a 404. However, https://docs.puppetlabs.com/puppet/3.8/reference/install_tarball.html contains the basic instructions for installing from the tarball download. I think that will work on any non-standard platform.

Did you make sure to use the Puppet Collections repository documented here: https://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/puppetlabs_package_repositories.html#yum-based-systems The older versions of Puppet are still available on the package repositories. It depends which repo package you installed.
