Hi, I'm just trying to get started with the puppetlabs/splunk module. I have the below snippet but not seeing splunk get installed. puppet agent -t does run without error. the contents of the ....splunk/linux directory is just the splunk*.deb file. Would appreciate guidance on getting this to install. Thanks!

class { 'splunk::params':
  version  => '6.3.3',
  build    => 'f44afce176d0',
 src_root => '/etc/puppet/modules/splunk/files/splunk/linux/',

Hm. The documentation for that module needs some work, and I'd consider looking at some of the other options on the Puppet Forge, despite that one being in the Puppet Labs name space.

I haven't used the module before, but clearly you'll need to do more than what is mentioned in the README. Declaring the splunk::params class simply sets some defaults. If you look here there is an example in the acceptance tests of declaring a Splunk Forwarder. A bit more info about how to deploy a server in the code.

Although it is not a supported module, I would consider raising a bug against the MODULES project here, and ask for some help.
