I'm running puppet enterprise on a ubuntu 12.04 LTS server and want to the puppet master to double up as a webserver. Now I understand that PE comes shipped with it's own webserver (is it Apache?). Because I am running several other webservers I want them all to have the same configuration, which means I would like the puppet master to have a default apache install ( so that a2 enmode, a2ensite work and I can find enabled sites at /etc/apache2/sites-enabled ) Can anyone give me some instruction or point to a guide to help me achieve ... Not sure to understand what you want exactly, but let's try.

The web server coming with Puppet Enterprise is Apache.

For the other question: Did you install the other Apache web servers with puppet ? If so you can apply the same apache configuration on the puppet master by running directly on the puppet master : puppet apply <path_to_your_pp_file>/file.pp

If I miss your point, please clarify why you cannot install Apache like on the other servers or what exactly youu are trying to achieve (post code or what has been tried).

I believe the question was related to puppet enterprise, which I'm assuming comes pre-packaged with apache2
