Hi,

after installing puppetdb for the first time (as documented in: https://docs.puppetlabs.com/puppetdb/...frompackages.html) I connected my puppetserver to puppetdb (as documented in: https://docs.puppet.com/puppetdb/late...puppetmaster.html

and restarted both puppetdb and puppetserver.

Starting

puppet agent -t

gives: Error: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: [400 ] Unsupported query parameter 'command' Warning: Not using cache on failed catalog Error: Could not retrieve catalog; skipping run

What's wrong here ?

1.Try to check the pe-puppetdb and pe-puppetserver log files. Open both log files in terminal and then run the puppet agent on the node. You will see the exact error in the log files.

  1. What order you are restarting the puppet master and puppetdb services. Try to start them in reverse order

Hello, I am also running into the same error. Any resolution to this problem? I am restarting the services in this order. puppetdb, puppetserver.

I can telnet to ports 8140 and 8081. Puppetserver and puppetdb are running on the server.

If I reverse the startup order I receive more errors. puppet agent -t Warning: Unable to fetch my node definition, but the agent run will continue: Warning: Error 400 on SERVER: Could not retrieve facts for testclient.myhome.com Failed to find facts from PuppetDB at puppet:8140: Failed to execute '/pdb/query/v4/nodes/testclient.com/facts' on at least 1 of the following 'serverurls': https://util.myhome.com:8081 Info: Retrieving pluginfacts Info: Retrieving plugin Info: Loading facts Error: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Failed to execute '/pdb/cmd/v1?checksum=4cd8c4260b1e95fc6310526302656287907fbe77&version=5&certname=testclient.myhome.com&command=replacefacts' on at least 1 of the following 'server_urls': https://util.myhome.com:8081 Warning: Not using cache on failed catalog Error: Could not retrieve catalog; skipping run
