Hello Puppeters !

I have one master and three agents. I created a non-production folder on puppetserver and initiated a sync from agent and agent couldn't retrieve the changes. Only when I made change in production folder agent got the changes so my question is if I want to say to my agent that get agents from puppetserver non-production folder how to get configure that?

Structure on my puppetserver is as follows:

root@jim-Ubuntu1504:/etc/puppetlabs/code/environments# pwd
/etc/puppetlabs/code/environments
root@jim-Ubuntu1504:/etc/puppetlabs/code/environments# ls -R
.:
non-production production

./non-production:
environment.conf hieradata manifests modules

./non-production/hieradata:

./non-production/manifests:
site.pp

./non-production/modules:

./production:
environment.conf hieradata manifests modules

./production/hieradata:

./production/manifests:
site.pp

./production/modules:
root@jim-Ubuntu1504:/etc/puppetlabs/code/environments#

Any advise would be highly appreciated.

Kind Regards, Jim

on client run

puppet agent -t --environment non-production

you can set environment in puppet.conf or by:

puppet config --section agent set environment non-production

if you're using puppet enterprise then envs get set in console so have a look there cheers Stuart
