Hello guys,

Still quite new to puppet, but I have a question:

Is there a way to get rid of all the notification and changes made when you puppet agent -t a new client? I just want it clean looking, maybe, possibly with "finished in x seconds" still shown. I've tried adding "log_level = crit " in the config, but that didn't do anything for me. Thanks!

The puppet help provides the following

puppet help agent

  • --test: Enable the most common options used for testing. These are 'onetime', 'verbose', 'ignorecache', 'no-daemonize', 'no-usecacheonfailure', 'detailed-exit-codes', 'no-splay', and 'show_diff'.

in order to get reduced output from the puppet agent run try manually specifying the options you want and excluding the ones you don't such as verbose and show_diff

puppet agent --onetime --ignorecache --no-daemonize --no-usecacheonfailure --no-splay
