When I run a puppet init command I get the following response,

Notice: Contacting to classify
Error: Too many HTTP redirections for puppetmaster.example:443
Error: Try 'puppet help node init' for usage

I can't seem to find any documentation or previous questions about this, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

So I don't have a puppet init command. I'm on Puppet 3.2.4. What are you trying to do?

I have a 'puppet node init' in PE 2.8.3. It is used to install Puppet on a node, classify it in Puppet Dashboard or PE's Console, and ...(more)

Can you post the exact command that you used? It would help to see all of the options that you supplied to node init.

Please check the httpd access and error logs for your puppet server. this might be caused by a misconfigured httpd.

Are you aware that the first line states "" and the second line mentions "puppetmaster.example" (without .com)? That sounds to me like you are doing some redirecting on the webserver which doesn't work properly and you seem to be stuck in a redirection loop
