Hi All,

When I execute "puppet resource package " , puppet assumes yum as the default provider. How do you override it with other provider , say pip or gem? at the cli

Hi Lupin, I didn't come thr more clear in the question.

I have able to execute e.g. puppet resource package pyxattr provider=pip package { 'pyxattr': ensure => '0.5.1', }

But I would like to list all the packages installed on a node with provider

"puppet resource package" list all the pkg installed via yum.

how to list all the pkg installed via pip or gem?
