How to remove invalid endpoint from Puppet Services status in console

I was attempting to configure a compile master in my environment and ran into a problem because its puppet.conf was pointing at a load balancer address instead of the cert name of the MoM. After uninstalling and re-configuring correctly, I now have an invalid Code Manager Service endpoint being pinged in the "Puppet Services status" window in the console. What can I update to remove that endpoint from being monitored? I'm running PE 2016.2.1.

Another thing to note is that after uninstalling the compile master and before configuring it again, the console was still monitoring the Puppet Server endpoint for that box. So understanding what controls the endpoints being monitored by "Puppet Services status" in the console would be helpful.

Thanks, John Burns

The file /etc/puppetlabs/console-services/conf.d/console.conf has a service-alert setting that contains an array of maps that controls which endpoints are monitored by the "Puppet Services status" console widget. This is managed by Puppet, but I believe (I haven't tested this super thoroughly though) that it won't delete any entries after they are created. So while it's not usually a good idea to manually modify this file (or the other config files in /etc/puppetlabs), in this case I think you could delete the necessary entry in this array, then restart the pe-console-services service. After deleting this entry you could also run puppet on the MoM to ensure that it won't re-add it.

Worked like a charm! Thank you!
