Hello,

Has anyone been successful at building an AIX puppet node not using the pre-defined pe-puppet binaries? My attempts have been on AIX 6.1 tl 8 and I have failed each time.

Please post relevant build logs somewhere, and maybe someone will be able to troubleshoot the problem for you.

The modules you have used as well. I've worked with AIX on Puppet Enterprise - open source wouldn't be that different.

I just installed open source version puppet on AIX 7.1. use rpm build command, built ruby, rubygem, rubygem-json, rubygem-json_pure, rubygem-stomp, rubygem-hash_deep_merge, facter, hiera, puppet and other packages.

If you need, maybe I can write a blog.

Any guide on what your procedure was would be very helpful. Did you use the GNU tools as well to build the src files?

I second that; I'd love a blog post on this.
