Which is the Forge policy for proprietary resources? Are modules which manage proprietary software welcome?

Hi all,

Our team is about to start working on a module to manage a proprietary software (WebFocus). If we can do a good job, I'm interested in posting such module in the Forge. Is there any restriction for that because the managed resource is proprietary?

Many thanks,
Emerson

I don't know if there is a specific policy somewhere, but there are examples (like https://forge.puppet.com/biemond for managing various Weblogic components)

You're welcome to submit that to the Forge. There are no restrictions on posting modules for proprietary software. Just make sure that whatever you post on the Forge doesn't contain any sensitive or site-specific data. You'll also want to make sure the module is generic enough to be used by other people.
