Hello guys,

I want to unit test my puppet code. I have checked rspec-puppet. It seems fine but it requires local admin rights to run on Windows as it create symlink between spec/fixtures/ to module root directory. So, we cannot use this in our organization. Is there any other way to that? Any other alternative tool to perform unit tests? Looking for a help please.

Kind regards.!

This was fixed in the rspec-puppet 2.6 series. It's now using directory junctions, not symlinks, and doesn't require any Admin rights anymore.

If you can at least install stuff as admin, I would recommend you using the new PDK which provides an all-in-one installer of ruby, and test tools, as well as a pre-configured module template to bind everything together.
