I would like to use multiple environments, web/db/file, etc. but would like to have 1 master manifest that would be common across all environments. Can I do this? I'm running Puppet 3.8.6

Thanks!

You would need to duplicate the 'master' manifest across all of the environments... however..

What are you actually trying to do? Is there a reason that you want separate 'environments', or are you going to be better served managing it as a single environment with different roles (where you can have a common base profile that you put in all of your roles)?

Thanks! To answer your question I want to be able to create a "standard" server image and then finish the config with a application related environment. I'm also running this under Redhat Satellite 6. It looks like I need to setup roles? Thanks
