Hello,

We are running a pretty old version (3.0.2) of Puppet open source. Now the certificates are going to expire, but we are not able to find any 'how to regenerate' documentation specific for this version.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

Hi z4nn,

The procedure to renew Puppet CA and server certificate has been well documented on this excellent blog post: https://blog.flyingcircus.io/2017/09/01/how-to-renew-puppet-ca-and-server-certificates-in-place/

Basically, you have to Reverse-generate missing CSR, renew the Certificate using the existing private key and the generated CSR and distribute that CA certificate on Puppet Nodes.
