Hello everyone, we are writing a puppet module in which we are implementing our own types and providers for a networked storage device. This storage device will have on an average around 40k resources. Fetching them from the storage device will take some time and will not scale if additional storage devices need to be managed.

In such a case does it make sense to implement self.instances and prefetch. Do we lose anything by not implementing them? or are there any other alternatives?
