How to find a missing agent ( Missing node ) from PE?

Ans

Before I thought it supposed to be a big job. But not like that. Yes.. it is very simple. We can simply see the missing agent on the PE CONSOLE - OVERVIEW - NODES NOT REPORTING place. So we can troubleshoot the node and make it enable.

Also, make an API request for servers that are not reporting in

You can filter the dashboard at <puppet enterprise server URL>#/inspect/overview to show nodes that aren't reporting. Additionally, you might SSH into your server and check (as an admin) puppet cert list --all.

Hey... Good Day ! First a big thanks to you. I had tied your two ideas ...... first the overview I can see 18 nodes .. and the ssh in to server puppet cert list --all showing 20 node with certificate name. 1. How can come to understand which node is missing node as per the cert list all cmd? plz

Also If we take the console and look in to over view location how can we identify which node is missing? On overview place I can see nodes run in enforcement , no-op and nodes not reporting. windowsasaithambi@gmail.com is my id. Could you please help to understand this concept. Thanks in advance

My best guess is to account for each node manually after seeing the list that puppet's master server is aware of. When I check my own list, I see the server itself as well as `pe-internal-mcollective-servers` and `pe-internal`peadmin-mcollective-client` in addition to the agents I have.

Great... If any chance to share screen shot I can share the picture which I have with my PE. I need to take report of Missing agent.. I am clear now better before because of your guide line. Is any command is there to ssh PE and get report of missing agent ? or from PE console - OVER VIEW place..
