Hi, I understand the Bolt uses SSH key-pairs, quite similar to Rundeck and Ansible, whereas MCollective uses topic subscription via an MQ server. However from the perspective of task execution and orchestration, is there a difference? What would be the advantages of choosing one over the other? Thanks.

That's an implementation detail that an end user will likely never have to care about.

Bolt can also use the PXP fabric, if you're on Puppet Enterprise. In that case, it works quite a bit like the way MCollective did, just a bit more reliably and faster.

But speaking of choosing, your choice should be between Bolt and Choria right now. MCollective has been deprecated.
