Hello.

Could someone describe such question. For example I am using Puppet + Hiera. And I have a task to configure mysql server with puppet. So I use puppetlabs module mysql for it. I am adding "percona" repo over the module apt.

But at the end of it for the first time execute puppet agent installation of mysql crashed, because mysql trying to install before adding repo. And I can not find any examples how I can resolve it only in hiera. Or I should prepare some wrapper module on my own for this purpose?

Thanks!

Have a look at using puppet run-stages to run some puppet code to setup your repos before the mainpuppet stage : https://puppet.com/docs/puppet/5.5/la...

That way when its time for the module to install mysql it will pick up the right version
