Our company has an internal puppet server already setup (opensource edition). I want to setup puppet enterprise on the internal openstack cloud for testing.

I find that when I install puppet enterprise inside a vm, I can not navigate to the web portal by just the ip address. Does puppet require a dns entry to be setup?

Discovered the issue: Puppet enterprise does not require a dns entry in the dns server. It is possible to log in via the ip address no problem.

The following ports needed to be opened in the firewall. (TCP)

443, 8140, 61613
