I am using the Learning Puppet VM and attempting to turn the VM into an agent, following the commands in the tutorial pages at http://docs.puppetlabs.com/learning/agentprep.html#step-1-duplicate-your-existing-vm

But when I run the commands I get the following output:

[root@learn ~]# puppet apply -e "class {'learningpuppet::makeagent':}" Warning: Variable access via 'newname' is deprecated. Use '@newname' instead. template[/etc/puppetlabs/puppet/modules/learningpuppet/templates/puppet.conf.erb]:12 (at /etc/puppetlabs/puppet/modules/learningpuppet/templates/puppet.conf.erb:12:in `block in result') Error: Could not set 'file' on ensure: No such file or directory - /etc ... (more)

Hi Gallen, Thanks for pointing this out. In PE 3.0 and higher, there is no longer a puppetenterpriseinstaller.txt. It's nothing you're doing, it looks like an incompatibility between the learning vms modules and PE 3.0.x's new structure. I'm passing this along to the team who made it so it can be corrected.
