puppet apply /etc/puppet/manifests/site.pp error

Hi All,

I deployed a second puppet server (3.2.4) in my infra. When I run puppet apply /etc/puppet/manifests/site.pp on it, I have the following error: Error: Could not run: Failed to find puppet_server_fqdn via exec: Execution of '/etc/puppet/manifests/finder.rb puppet_server_fqdn' returned 1:

Do you have any idea of the root cause of the issue. We didn't face it on the first server, so I think I missed a step somewhere but not sure where.

Thank you

Does etc/hosts have both the fqdn and the short name present? Check if `hostname -f` resolves.

It looks like you have configured an external node classifier

Your master config /etc/puppet/puppet.conf probably reads

[master]
  node_terminus = exec
  external_nodes = /etc/puppet/manifests/finder.rb

And this script seems to raise an error. Does it work if you run the script manually with the desired fqdn as the first parameter?
