Web console not running on "learn puppet" VM

I'm using the VirtualBox image for "learn puppet" learnpuppetcentos-6.4-pe-3.1.0-disk1.vmdk

The host machine is a MacBook Air running 10.8.5 OSX. VirtualBox is 4.3.6

I properly set up the VirtualBox using bridged networking. I can ssh into the VM and ping it.

But the web console advertised in the lessons and login messages doesn't appear to be running. From inside or outside the VM a connection to port 80 fails. I haven't been able to find what command or init.d script starts the console server.

Silly me, the link is https not http. It's all running fine.

Try: sudo /etc/init.d/pe-httpd status

If that says the service is not running, run: sudo /etc/init.d/pe-httpd start then try going to the web UI
