Can Puppet Forge be deployed directly on VMware products?

Does one need another Puppet product between VMware software and Puppet Forge, or can Puppet Forge be installed directly onto VMware vCloud products?

Is there a big difference between Puppet Forge and VMware vCloud Application Director?

Sorry about that, Puppet hooks into vCAD. The reference to vCAC is more so the overarching solution of vCloud Automation Center of which is the umbrella for vCAD as well ...(more)

According to VMware's documentation a puppet master is required to utilize puppet services in vCAC. The puppet forge is simply the repository that host puppet modules. In the case of vCAC an example scenario would be installing a puppet master and from that machine install the desired modules from Puppet Forge then import them as Puppet Services into vCAC.

"You must import Puppet classes and defined resources into the vCloud Application Director catalog as services." "The remote machine that you use to run the CLI must have Puppet modules installed and the Puppet CLI available."
