Has anyone tried using PuppetDB with Oracle? Did it work? What was your experience?

The only thing Postgres lacks for me is a team of highly skilled individuals experienced and dedicated to providing and supporting a highly available multi-datacenter install of Postgres. I have voted for and encourage others looking for Oracle support to do the same.

Puppet currently does not support an Oracle Backend.

See this feature request

The puppetDB currently uses Postgres. It is free, and is more than sufficient.

Is there any workaround to still use Oracle with PuppetDB, given that our hard requirement is to store facts in Oracle backend besides PostgreSQL? What are the possible means to do it - any better option other than using REST APIs(which is roundabout way) feasible ?
