Hello, I'll preface this with saying that I am new to puppet, our organization uses puppet but only on the linux side I've been doing a POC to try out the windows version.

I am having trouble with the puppetlabs-mssql module and when I run the puppet apply locally (with --debug) I get the following:

Info: Loading facts in C:/ProgramData/PuppetLabs/puppet/etc/modules/stdlib/lib/facter/facter_dot_d.rb
Info: Loading facts in C:/ProgramData/PuppetLabs/puppet/etc/modules/stdlib/lib/facter/pe_version.rb

That is the wrong invocation, it's not mssql resource, it's a class:

class { 'mssql':
    media          => 'D:\\',
    instancename   => 'MSSQLSERVER',
    features       => 'SQL,SSMS',
    agtsvcaccount  => 'SQLAGTSVC',
    agtsvcpassword => 'sqlagtsvc2008demo',
    sqlsvcaccount  => 'SQLSVC',
    sqlsvcpassword => 'sqlsvc2008demo',
    instancedir    => "C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft SQL Server",
    ascollation    => 'Latin1_General_CI_AS',
    sqlcollation   => 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS',
    admin          => 'Administrator',
}
