puppet kick > failed: No route to host - connect(2)

I was following this tutorial but I can't seem to "deamonize" puppet and puppet kick gives me an error for a client who worked perfectly. After some research, that guy seemed to have the same problem but his solution doesn't work for me.

  Triggering client.network.lan
    Host client.network.lan failed: No route to host - connect(2)
    client.network.lan finished with exit code 2
    Failed: client.network.lan

Yeah, a VPN does that mean I have something specific to config in puppet ?

No, this still seems like a networking error, and not Puppet. Do non-puppet commands work? Can you SSH? Can you telnet to the port that puppet kick uses?
