puppet kick doesn't listen

So puppet kick works on port tcp 8139 and I can't seem to reach it netstat -l shows that port tcp 8140 is listening (puppet default) but port tcp 8139 doesn't

After my researches, I never a particular option or command to make puppet listen to that tcp port I know puppet kick is depreciated but I'm running out of answers on that one

Port 8140 is the port your puppet master listens on and your puppet agents connect to this port when they want to do a puppetrun. For puppet kick to work your agents have to wait for incoming requests so you should do your netstat -l on your agent side.
