I am trying to install puppet onto a centos 6.3 server and it is reporting the following:

Package(s) data still to download: 376 k http :// /el /6 /dependencies /x8664 /augeas-libs-0.10.0-3.x8664.rpm: [Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404" Trying other mirror.

Error Downloading Packages: augeas-libs-0.10.0-3.x8664: failure: augeas-libs-0.10.0-3.x8664.rpm from puppetlabs-deps: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

and when I go to the repository, there is no package augeas-libs of any revision.

augeas-libs shouldn't be in that repo as you say, I can't see it either or in the primary.xml.gz. Perhaps try a yum clean all? You should be downloading augeas-libs from the main CentOS 6 channel (or "optional" if you were using RHEL 6).

that was great advice, yum clean all appears to have solved the problem. because the machine is a fairly fresh install, I blithely assumed that bit rot hadn't set in yet!

thanks Paul
