Hello Experts,

I am a complete newbie in using puppet. From my understanding so far, we can use puppet for automation. Is it possible to automate using puppet by reading inputs from GUI / website based on Windows Operating System ?

Something like entering a username and password in the GUI and then click on the Menu Options to perform certain actions.

Can puppet acheive what System Center Orchestrator Does ?

Please Advise!

I do not think this is the aim of puppet to do stuff like that.

Sorry, I cannot answer you, I am only using Open Source edition and not the console. Let's hope somebody else can help you.

You may be interested in the combination of MCollective and Puppet. MCollective is the orchestration companion to Puppet. Once your infrastructure is data driven with puppet you can use the same data to execute commands across all your servers with MCollective. Puppet Enterprise has some of this functionality built into the console. MCollective is pluggable so you can make it do what ever you need.
